Find your next source of growth

Overview

Knowing what drives growth

There’s more than one way to improve performance. The right approach depends on your products, markets and growth objectives. Our work typically focuses on four areas:

Strengthen existing products by refining positioning, improving propositions and identifying new ways to create value for customers.

Evaluate pricing structures, revenue models and commercial strategies that can increase revenue and improve profitability.

Make better decisions about where to invest, which products to prioritise and how to optimise portfolio performance.

Assess new audiences, geographies and customer segments that can extend market reach.

Our experience

How we prioritise growth opportunities

Most organisations have more ideas than they can realistically pursue. New products, new markets, partnerships and revenue streams all compete for the same resources.

Our approach is to bring structure to these decisions. Through market evidence, commercial analysis and customer insight, we evaluate competing opportunities, identify where value can be created and prioritise the initiatives most likely to deliver sustainable growth.

The result is a clear, evidence-based roadmap that gives leadership teams confidence in where to invest next.

Examples of our work

Vertical growth strategy for a global event portfolio

We helped a leading global event organiser develop growth strategies across 12 industry verticals, including real estate, sports and recreation, travel, jewellery, safety and security, transport and logistics. The work assessed market attractiveness, portfolio strength, customer needs and acquisition opportunities in each vertical.

Result: Gave leadership a clear portfolio-wide view of where to invest, where to scale organically and where acquisitions could create the most value.

Digital growth strategy for an events business

We helped an event organiser assess how to extend its business beyond live events through digital products and year-round revenue streams. The work used SG Strategy’s 3C framework – Commerce, Community and Content – to identify where digital models could strengthen customer engagement and create realistic new monetisation opportunities.

Result: Defined a practical digital growth roadmap, identifying which opportunities were worth pursuing, which required further testing and which risked distracting from the core event business.
